Balmer Lawrie & Q3 net profit jumps 56.56% at Rs 40.83 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 40.83 crore for the quarter ended December 31 2017 as compared to Rs 26.08 crore in the same period last year registering a year-on-year growth of 56.56 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 11.13 per cent at Rs 411.54 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 370.33 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During October-December quarter operating expenses increased by 2.95 per cent to Rs 349.73 crore from Rs 339.72 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 40.13 per cent at Rs 7.25 crore versus (Dec'16 Rs 12.11 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 59.43 per cent to Rs 61.81 crore as against Rs 38.77 crore in the year ago period while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 43.46 per cent in December quarter.

Interest declined by 12.77 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1.23 crore while Taxation increased by 23.60 per cent at Rs 20.90 crore (Dec'16 Rs 16.91 crore).
