Balmer Lawrie Q2 net profit down 5.39% at Rs 26.14 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 26.14 crore for the quarter ended September 30 2017 as compared to Rs 27.63 crore in the same period last year registering a year-on-year decline of 5.39 per cent.

Net revenue of the company declined marginally by 4.86 per cent at Rs 371.27 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 390.25 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter operating expenses dropped by 5.59 per cent to Rs 339.98 crore from Rs 360.10 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 2.07 per cent at Rs 14.30 crore versus (Sep'16 Rs 14.01 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 19.31 per cent to Rs 31.29 crore as against Rs 38.78 crore in the year ago period while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 15.19 per cent in September quarter.

Interest declined by 12.61 per cent y-o-y to Rs 0.97 crore while Taxation decreased by 32.05 per cent at Rs 12.02 crore (Sep'16 Rs 17.69 crore).
