The Indian Rupee was trading lower against the US dollar on Wednesday on continued liquidation by foreign investors in local equity and debt markets.

According to analysts the dip in currency was due to outflows from local equity and debt markets on the fears of fiscal slippages and heightened tensions between US and North Korea.

At the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market the local currency was down by 10 paise at 65.54 per dollar against a previous close of 65.45 per dollar at 10:42 hours.

Meanwhile BSE SENSEX was at 31458.77 down by 140.99 points per cent while NSE Nifty was at 9826.7 down by 44.8 points or by 0.45 per cent.
