  • Traders strike and the forthcoming Festival kept many mandis closed – especially in North-West India. This lowered the trading activities in mandis, leading to a moderate fall in price. However high volatility persisted in the Futures market, as markets bounced back on the back of expected rise in demand in coming days.
  • Chana, Guar show moderate recovery amidst high volatility as Spices rates fall on lower trading activities. Crop damage reports keep Kapas/Cotton firm as oil complex fell on slight weakness in International markets.
  • With reports of early withdrawal of Monsoon there and overall deficiency reported high at 11% by IMD, long term trend looks firm for the Agri counters as apprehensions of a fall in productivity from low rains in August and expected low rains in September also.
