There were reports of monsoon likely to hit Gujarat by 15 June and farmers have started preparing for sowing of Kharif crops. Saurashtra region has received rains last week. This would explain most Agri counters trading with a soft note on Thursday.

  • There were reports of monsoon likely to hit Gujarat by 15 June and farmers have started preparing for sowing of Kharif crops. Saurashtra region has received rains last week. This would explain most Agri counters trading with a soft note on Thursday.
  • Bloomberg’s estimate indicated that India's palm oil import during May stood 8 LT, which was the highest since December month. This reflected higher supply availability and pressured crude palm oil. Soy complex was down as the midweek data (USDA) failed to offer any positive clue.
  • Turmeric and castor posted sharp recovery since prices have gone down sharply against outlook of bullish fundamental, from a long time perspective. Mentha also moved up amid steady local and export demand situation.
