Indian rupee opened the session lower following the bounce witnessed in the dollar index yesterday after Atlanta Federal Reserve president Dennis Lockhart downplayed the notion that the central bank would begin winding down its bond-buying program at its September meeting.

• Indian rupee opened the session lower following the bounce witnessed in the dollar index yesterday after Atlanta Federal Reserve president Dennis Lockhart downplayed the notion that the central bank would begin winding down its bond-buying program at its September meeting.
• India's July WPI inflation came at 4 months highest level of 5.79 percent versus the figure of 4.86 percent in the month of June whereas the core inflation surged to 2.4 percent from 2 percent in its previous reading.
• Credit Suisse has lowered India’s growth forecast for FY14 to 6 percent from 6.5 percent and for financial year 2014-15 to 7 percent from 7.5 percent.
