  • Indian rupee opened the session stronger against the dollar but later on fell by more than half a percent mainly due to the month end dollar buying by importers.
  • RBI governor Raghuram Rajan has said that the problems faced by emerging markets is because of excess stimulation of demand and India have to bring both fiscal deficit and inflation down.
  • Eurozone Consumer Confidence remained at -14.9 in September whereas the market consensus pointed to an increase to -14.5.
