Equity Research Report: Investors Weekly

The key benchmark indices closed positive for the second consecutive week mainly due to positive global cues. A rally in world stocks triggered by a surprise announcement from the Bank of Japan (BoJ) that it will increase its asset purchases aided strong gains on the last trading day of the week. The ongoing second-quarter earnings season and key macroeconomic data in India will set the tone on the domestic bourses in the week ahead. Trading will be truncated next week as the stock market remains shut on Tuesday (4th Nov.) and on Thursday (6 Nov.). Among macro-economic data, HSBC Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for October 2014 is due on Monday, 3 November 2014.
