Equity Research Report: Investors Weekly

The key benchmark indices closed negative for the fourth consecutive week due to heavy selling by FIIs. In this month, they pulled out more than Rs 2600 crore form Indian equities, so far. Major weakness seen in realty stocks and BSE realty index closed more than 10% down. Metal, IT and pharma remain laggards while buying support witnessed in banking stocks. Going ahead, the Q2 September 2014 earnings season is underway and will dictate the near term trend. Results of assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana, investment by foreign portfolio investors (FPIs), the movement of rupee against the dollar, and crude oil price movement are the other factors to decide the trend.
