Corporate News: 

Maruti Suzuki India sold a total of 109,742 units in September. This includes 99,290 (up 10% YoY) units in domestic market and 10,452 units in exports. The company had sold a total of 104,964 units in September last year, out of which 90,399 units were sold in the domestic market.

Hero MotoCorp has clocked sales of 6 lakh units of two-wheelers in September 2014, a 30% growth over corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto total sales rose 9% to 3.99 lakh units in September 2014 over September 2013.

Infosys is extending its relationship with Oracle to enhance support for a range of innovative solutions and services on new technology platforms.

Market Roundup 

Key benchmark indices settled lower after hovering in red for the most part of the trading session on weak global cues. Barring the IT and Teck indices, all others finished in the red on BSE. Oil and gas, FMCG and Capital Goods slumped over 1.5 per cent. Wipro, Infosys, TCS and Hero MotoCorp were the top Sensex gainers. M&M rose 2.07% after the company reported good auto and farm equipment sector sales in September. The market breadth indicating the overall health of the market was negative.
