    Market Roundup

The market edged lower in early trade on weak Asian stocks. Investor sentiments were hit adversely as Asian and European stocks dropped on speculation that US budget agreement will boost prospects for the Federal Reserve to start tapering its monetary stimulus for the US economy. Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, TCS and ONGC were among the major losers, on the flip side, Tata Power, GAIL and HDFC were the top gainers.
