Jet Airways said it will launch a daily direct flight service from Mumbai to Paris with effect from 14 May 2014, subject to government approvals.

Kotak Mahindra Bank's net profit fell 6% to Rs 339.98 crore on 3.86% increase in total income to Rs 2492.01 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.

Life Insurance Corporation has sold 2.001 per cent stake in Bharat Forge for Rs 150.53 crore. LIC had 167.74 lakh shares amounting to 7.206 per cent stake. Following the transaction, LIC now has 121.16 lakh shares in the company or 5.205 per cent stake.

V-Guard has registered a profit after tax of Rs 17.53 crore in Q3 of FY14, a growth of 14 per cent over the corresponding period last year. Net revenue from operations grew marginally to Rs 352.93 crore (Rs 349.04 crore).

Key benchmark indices closed marginally in the green amid firm global cues. Bank stocks rose on renewed buying. But, Kotak Mahindra Bank fell on weak Q3 results. Among BSE sectoral indices buying support was seen in Capital goods, Realty and Auto stocks and its BSE indices closed 0.64%,0.59% and 1.03% up respectively. While Power, Oil & Gas and IT indices closed in red. The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was positive.
