Corporate News

Just Dial jumped 3.93% on BSE ahead of the stock's inclusion in the FTSE All Cap index starting 23 December 2013.

Maruti Suzuki India rose 1.64% on BSE on reports the company's Japanese parent Suzuki Motor Corporation is looking at hiking its stake in the India's largest car maker.

Alstom T&D India rose 2.79% on BSE after the company said it has secured two orders worth Rs 298.30 crore in Himachal Pradesh.

TCS rose 1.84% on BSE after the company announced the launch of TCS Insurance Telematics Solution, a mobile application that turns consumers' smartphones into mobile telematics devices.

Reliance Industries rose 4.58% on BSE on reports the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved a hike in the price of natural gas from the company's KG-D6 basin from April 2014.

A sudden buying frenzy propelled the key benchmark indices to intraday high in late trade. S&P BSE Sensex, moved past the psychological 21,000 mark in late trade. The Sensex, and the 50-unit CNX Nifty, both, hit their highest level in more than a week. Investor sentiment was boosted after news reports said that the stock market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has relaxed the rules on trading of thinly-traded stocks. The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was strong.
