A bout of volatility was witnessed as key benchmark indices trimmed intraday gains in afternoon trade. The markets recovered from lower level during the late hours of trading. The BSE Small-Cap index was up more than 1.8% and BSE Mid-Cap index was up more than 1.7%. Both these indices outperformed the Sensex. The market breadth indicating the overall health of the market was strong, with more than 2 gainers for every loser on BSE.
